TVCRC plans to have a bright blue food barrel in each of several convenient locations throughout the valley to help the small, struggling food banks that work hard all year around to provide meals for the hungry.

Everything that is donated will go directly to the individual food banks that are responsible for weekly collection from the barrels.  See our list of food banks and read articles about some of them on our web site.  This project reduces the need to purchase items from the Idaho Food Bank.

In addition to the usual canned and non-perishable food items, we also encourage donation of paper goods such as facial or toilet tissue and disposable diapers.  Some organizations can also use coupons for these items to help reduce the cost of purchasing them.

Cash donations are always welcome! The list of food banks provides telephone numbers for direct contact information or you may donate online using our secure server and an electronic check.   We forward 100% of donation amounts to the food bank you choose.

Suggestion:  A simple, effective way to make a difference year 'round.
